Generated application posts

Generated application posts let the team control the text applicants are asked to share.

How it works

The team writes the generated post text in Community Admissions settings.

When an applicant clicks Generate post, CollabOS uses the team’s saved text and adds a unique application code for that applicant. The applicant can edit the default post before publishing unless the community deliberately restricts editing.

Supported placeholders

Generated post templates can use placeholders such as:

  • {{communityName}}
  • {{communityHandle}}
  • {{applicantX}}
  • {{discordUsername}}
  • {{applicationCode}}
  • {{reason}}
  • {{contribution}}

Published post URL

If Published post URL is required, applicants must paste the X post link before submitting. If it is not required, the generated post can still be saved with the application for review.

πŸ’‘Best practices

Keep generated post templates short enough for X. Include the application code clearly so the team can match the public post to the submitted application.
