Quick Discord Giveaways are a separate Discord-native giveaway flow for communities that want to post a giveaway, let members join, and automatically draw winners when the timer ends.
Quick Giveaways do not replace the snapshot-based Giveaway Wheel. Use the Giveaway Wheel when you want to draw from a saved eligibility pool. Use a Quick Giveaway when members should join from the live Discord post.
Creating a Quick Giveaway
The /giveaway flow can configure:
- giveaway title and timing
- number of winners
- optional announcement role ping
- optional required role gate
- optional wallet collection
- supported wallet family when wallet collection is enabled
@everyone cannot be used as the announcement ping or role gate.
Joining without wallet collection
When wallet collection is disabled, members join with the giveaway reaction. Removing the reaction before the giveaway ends removes the entry.
Joining with wallet collection
When wallet collection is enabled, the giveaway button opens an ephemeral Discord modal. Supported wallet families include:
- EVM
- Solana
- Bitcoin
- Stacks
- Sui
- TON
Each Discord user can hold one entry in the giveaway. The same wallet cannot be submitted by multiple entries in the same giveaway.
Role gating
If a required role is configured, CollabOS checks the member's role before accepting the entry. Invalid reaction entries can be removed when the role requirement is not satisfied.
Automatic finalization
CollabOS periodically checks active Quick Giveaways and automatically finalizes them after the configured end time. Winners are selected randomly from eligible entries.
The configured announcement role is used only for the initial giveaway announcement. The winners message does not repeat the role ping.
Privacy and exports
Collected wallet addresses are not posted in the public winner announcement.
Managers can review Quick Giveaway details from the dashboard and export or copy giveaway data. Available operational outputs include:
- CSV export
- Google Sheet export where configured
- copyable spreadsheet/TSV data
- individual wallet copy controls
Discord commands
/giveaway start Creates a Quick Giveaway.
/giveaway end Ends and finalizes a managed Quick Giveaway.
/giveaway export Returns an ephemeral CSV export for a managed Quick Giveaway.
