Rate limits and troubleshooting
Alphabot API rate limits can be reached if syncs are too frequent or if many raffle details are requested in one period.
Common causes:
- manual sync clicked repeatedly
- backup sync running too often
- multiple statuses enabled
- many raffle detail requests
- webhook events triggering full syncs
What to do when rate-limited
If you see a rate-limit error:
- 1.Stop clicking manual sync.
- 2.Wait for the API limit to reset.
- 3.Keep enabled statuses limited to Active and Finalized.
- 4.Confirm backup sync is set to a slower interval such as 6 hours.
- 5.Confirm no-slug webhook payloads are skipped instead of doing a full sync.
The error is usually not dangerous. It means Alphabot temporarily blocked extra API calls.
