Application questions and social tasks

Application questions help the team understand why someone wants to join and what they can offer.

Questions

Teams can add custom questions, mark questions required, enable or disable questions, and reorder them.

Useful questions include:

  • Why do you want to join this community?
  • What can you offer this community?
  • What communities are you active in?
  • What kind of value do you usually bring?

Social tasks

Common X tasks include:

  • Follow the community
  • Like the required post
  • Repost the required post
  • Quote repost the required post
  • Open a required X link
  • Publish the generated application post

Default task completion

With Advanced X OFF, task completion is applicant-confirmed, click-based, or manually confirmed by the team depending on settings. The UI can mark follow, like, and repost as completed after the applicant opens the task link, but CollabOS does not claim that the X API verified the action.

Advanced X task completion

With Advanced X ON, each required follow, like, and repost button performs exactly one user-authorized X action after the applicant clicks it. CollabOS stores the successful result immediately. Final submission checks those stored results without scanning following, liked-post, or reposter lists.

Quote repost is not verified through the X API. The applicant must paste the quote-post URL for manual review.

💡Best practices

Keep required tasks short and explain that every Advanced X action is separate, visible, and triggered by the applicant. Never perform engagement automatically when X is connected.
