Set up an application page
The Application Form and Settings tabs control the public admission page.
Basic setup
To set up a community application page:
- 1.Open Community Admissions.
- 2.Configure the community name, logo, cover image, short description, and public slug.
- 3.Add the community X handle and X profile URL when the community uses X tasks.
- 4.Add custom questions and social tasks.
- 5.Configure voting rules, thresholds, visibility, and application editing rules.
- 6.Open an application batch and set an acceptance cap or dates when needed.
- 7.Turn on Applications open when the page is ready.
- 8.Save settings and test the public page.
Application rules
Available rules can include:
- Applications open
- Require X username
- Require X profile
- Task acknowledgement
- Generated application post
- Published post URL
- Auto-complete task clicks
- Show applicant votes
- Show member votes
- Allow editing
- Allow withdraw
- Allow vote changes
- Require follow
- Require like
- Require repost
- Require quote repost link
Advanced X Process toggle
Keep Advanced X Process OFF for the included manual X flow.
Turn it ON only when the workspace has active Advanced X access and wants applicants and voters to connect X through OAuth. The plan, applicant limit, usage, and expiry come from billing and are not normal workspace settings.
Required X account and post
Advanced X verification needs the required X account and required post configured correctly. CollabOS can cache the required X user ID and tweet/post ID. Each Advanced X task is performed only after the applicant presses its clearly labelled action button.
💡Best practices
Only open applications after branding, tasks, questions, generated post text, voting rules, and the current application batch are ready.
