Moderation from CollabOS

CollabOS supports Discord moderation actions directly from the full analytics dashboard.

Available moderation actions

Workspace owners and admins can:

  • kick a single member
  • ban a single member
  • bulk kick selected members
  • bulk ban selected members

Single member actions

Each member row can show action buttons for:

  • Kick
  • Ban

Kick removes the member from the Discord server.

Ban blocks the member from returning unless the ban is removed later.

Bulk actions

The dashboard supports selecting multiple members and running bulk actions.

Bulk actions are useful when:

  • cleaning up inactive users
  • removing low-quality accounts
  • managing large servers
  • handling obvious spam accounts

Who can use moderation

Moderation actions are intended for workspace owners and admins.

Required Discord permissions

For moderation to work, the bot needs:

  • Kick Members
  • Ban Members

The bot role must also be higher than the target member's highest role.

If Discord role hierarchy blocks the action, CollabOS will return an error.

What happens after moderation

After a kick or ban succeeds:

  • the member is marked as no longer in the server
  • the dashboard updates member status
  • analytics history can still remain for reporting
  • the member is no longer treated as an active current server member

💡Best practices

Before using moderation:

  • double-check selected members
  • use inactive filters carefully
  • avoid banning when a kick is enough
  • confirm bot role hierarchy
  • keep moderation actions limited to trusted admins
