Verification
How verification review works
Verification review is the process CollabOS uses to assess whether a user or workspace meets the requirements for trusted status. This applies to both user verification and workspace verification.
Why review exists
Verification review exists to make trust signals meaningful. Without review, badges would not carry much value. Review helps ensure that verification reflects a real level of confidence.
What review is meant to assess
A verification review may consider:
- identity consistency
- submitted proof
- matching public presence
- legitimacy of the account or workspace
- whether the request meets the platformβs standards
General review flow
A common review process looks like this:
- 1.the request is submitted
- 2.the request enters a pending or under-review state
- 3.an admin reviews the details and proof
- 4.the request is approved, rejected, or later revoked if needed
What can help a review go smoothly
Reviews are usually easier when:
- the profile or workspace is complete
- branding is consistent
- submitted handles are official
- proof is clear
- the request is accurate and direct
Why some requests take longer
A request may take longer if:
- proof is incomplete
- handles do not clearly match
- the identity is inconsistent
- the public profile lacks enough information
- additional review is needed
What users should do during review
While under review:
- avoid changing the core identity tied to the request
- keep public information consistent
- wait for the review outcome
- prepare to resubmit if corrections are needed later
π‘Best practices
- only submit when your profile or workspace is ready
- follow instructions exactly
- provide clear proof
- make sure the request reflects your real public identity
